UNITY VCS/CS Portfolio

Alcon’s innovations within vitreoretinal and cataract surgery gave rise to a suite of comprehensive technologies, all bundled under the Unity branding. Launchvox brought the digital savviness needed to bring these solutions & modalities to virtual life - giving users a chance to interact with the UNITY Portfolio in a series of Virtual Reality experiences.

• Demonstrative Techniques: Users are given a hands-on demonstration of the device in action, working to familiarize users with the technologies at play and manipulate the physical product’s UI in real time.
• Guided Promotion: Following a linear narrative allows for the introduction, explanation, and interactivity of each technology to play out at a consistent pace - making users enter and leave VR without losing track of time!
• Simple Controls: Effort was placed into streamlining the usability and comfort of VR interaction, ensuring that the user spends less time fiddling with their controls, and more time interacting with the content surrounding them.

• Platform & Portfolio: The Alcon UNITY Portfolio utilizes a medical hub environment to facilitate the launching of multiple experiences, all within a centralized & immersive location.
• Multiplayer Capabilities: With the ability to host rooms and invite people from around the world to join in virtual explorations, the UNITY Portfolio acts as a launching point for virtual meetings.
• Simulation-Lite: With an emulated user interface and controllable interface, users were able to demo and familiarize themselves with the UNITY VCS & CS device to demo procedures. The VR content focused on presenting interactivity with intuitive and simple gestures, to reinforce learning moments and best practices.
